Fountain at Piazza dei Quiriti, Rome
In 1928 an unusual fountain was installed on the Roman Piazza dei Quiriti. The project belonged to the sculptor Attilio Selva. It gained popularity very quickly due to the similarity with the ancient Roman fountains. The composition consists of the bowl, supported by four naked virgins. And today, almost a century later, tourists throw coins into a small pretty Fontana delle Cariatidi, in order to come back.
How to get there
Piazza dei Quiriti is located in Prati district, near the Church San Gioacchino. The square with the fountain is located near the Castel Sant'Angelo and the Vatican. You can get here by bus № 70, 80, 280, 301, 913, N6, N7 to the stop Marcantonio Colonna, by bus № 81 to the stop Cola Di Rienzo.
