Fountain at Piazza dei Quiriti, Rome

Fountain at Piazza dei Quiriti, Rome

In 1928 an unusual fountain was installed on the Roman Piazza dei Quiriti. The project belonged to the sculptor Attilio Selva. It gained popularity very quickly due to the similarity with the ancient Roman fountains. The composition consists of the bowl, supported by four naked virgins. And today, almost a century later, tourists throw coins into a small pretty Fontana delle Cariatidi, in order to come back.
