Fountain at Piazza Cairoli, Rome
Piazza Cairoli in Rome is a small cozy square with a pretty fountain. The park was designed in 1890 by the landscape architect Edouard Francois Andre. For some time the fountain was neglected and only recently it was restored. The fountain was made in the style of traditional ancient fountains of Rome. At first glance, it is quite ordinary, but it has its own distinctive feature. The quadrangular granite basin of the fountain was made in ancient Rome.
In addition to the fountain, on the square there is a statue to the Minister of Finance Federico Seismit-Doda. The Cathedral of San Carlo ai Catinari is near the square.
