Monument to the Bersaglieri, Rome

The monument to the Bersaglieri in Rome, made of bronze and travertine, features the Bersaglieri army soldier in a traditional hat, a distinctive feature of this military unit. The creators of the monument are the sculptor Publio Morbiducci and the architect Mancini. The statue was commissioned by Mussolini who sought to strengthen the patriotic morale of the nation. The height of the monument is 4 metres.
The Bersaglieri are infantry troops of Italy. The history of these high-mobility elite units began in 1836.
