Monument to Giuseppe Mazzini, Rome
Monument to the Italian politician and leader of the movement for national liberation Giuseppe Mazzini is located in the territory of the Ugo La Malfa, on the Aventine hill in Rome. The first stone in the foundation of the monument was laid as early as 1922, but in view of historical events, the opening of the sculpture took place only in 1949, the day of the 100th anniversary of the Roman Republic. This huge white marble pedestal with a folk hero is a significant attraction for the residents of the city.
How to get there
The monument to Giuseppe Mazzini in Rome is located opposite of the Circus Maximus. You can get there by metro, the nearest station is Circo Massimo, and also on one of the buses № 60, 81, 75, 160, 175, or by tram № 3. From the Roman Forum or the Colosseum to the monument you need to walk for about 10-15 minutes.
