Palace on Piazza Piedigrotta, Naples
The palace on Piazza Piedigrotta is a historical building in the central part of Naples, in the district of Chiaia. The palace was designed by the famous Italian architect Giovanni de Fazio in 1929. The grand opening was held in 1930. The architecture of the palace clearly shows the elements of eclecticism, the style most characteristic for the beginning of the 20th century.
Originally the palace was known as a cinema house, since the first theater worked here, which was later converted into a cinema.
In the 2010s, a night club operated here for several months, but due to numerous protests of local residents it was closed down.
