Fountain on Via San Gregorio, Rome
The fountain on Via San Gregorio is one of the most unique fountains in Rome, thanks to its unusual architecture. It is located in the central part of the city, close to the main historical sights of Rome.
The fountain on Via San Gregorio is located in the niche of the wall, thanks to the original composition, it seems that the water is piercing the powerful concrete structure. The central part of it is a large marble slab, from which a cascade of water falls. At the foot of the fountain there is a large marble pool in which the water gathers. On both sides of the fountain, the walls are decorated with two oblong bas-reliefs. At its foot there are two columns that frame its borders. The park situated nearby gives a fountain of special charm.
