Roman Amphitheater, Assisi

The Roman amphitheater in Assisi dates back to the 1st century AD, its elliptic shape makes it easier to recognize among other medieval constructions. The only thing that survived to the present day is a wedge of the travertine arch. It is impossible to tell exactly how many remains of the Roman amphitheater are there, some parts are located within private territories. Currently, there is a garden planted in the amphitheater area.
How to get
The Roman amphitheater is situated on Porta Perlici. You can get there by taking the bus A to the P.Ta Perlici stop.
