Massabari Waterfall, Cuglieri

Massabari Waterfall, Cuglieri

The Massabari waterfall in the commune of Cuglieri is one of the water streams that leap off the largest volcanic formation of Sardinia, the Montiferru massif. Massabari is located in the valley of the S'Abba Lughida river. The waterfall is surrounded by oak forests. The environs also have strawberry and plum trees, wild rose, hawthorn and a wide variety of herbs. This natural phenomenon lies on tourist and ecological routes along the Montiferru.

How to get there

Cagliari is the most convenient point to start a journey. Follow the largest road of the island, SS131. Turn onto the SS292 road at the intersection of St. Antonio and drive to Cuglieri. Then take the road SP19 to the waterfall.
