Palace des Haies of Mussano, Turin
Palace des Haies of Mussano is a rather unremarkable historical building in the center of Turin. Over time, it lost its value as a noble residence, but the appearance remained. The Palazzo was built in the second half of the 18th century, and the architect remained unknown. Its owner in 1796 was the nobleman Haies di Mussano. The building was made in a strict and simple Baroque style. The façade resembles Palazzo Cavour that is situated in the same neighborhood, but in more simplistic way. At the beginning of the 19th century a double courtyard was built with a characteristic number of porticos and a staircase leading to the main floor. During the Second World War, the building was damaged. After the restoration, residential apartments were located on the upper floors. On the ground floor there is now a fragrant bakery, café and supermarket.
