Cascata di Chiapili di Sopra, Turin Province

Cascata di Chiapili di Sopra is one of the many in the Graian Alps. It is a good place for beginners in climbing skills. The waterfall is not very big and little known. Nevertheless, the mountaineers-beginners come here to improve their skills. It is a cascading waterfall, with a decent width and a fairly flat ice slope. The height of the fall is 100 meters, actually the waterfall is at an altitude of 1850 meters above sea level. In the summer, you can come here for hiking, especially since in 20 kilometers to the north of the waterfall there is the Gran Paradiso National Park with mountain top of the same name. The place is very picturesque, and it will especially appeal to mountain tourism lovers.

How to get there

The waterfall is located near the village of Chiapili, in the Ceresole Reale commune, 85 kilometers north of Turin. You will have to make transfers. From the Fermata 10001 V. Fiochetto stop in Turin, bus № 5135 runs to Rivarolo. Further on the bus № SFM1 you need to get to Pont Canavese, from where by bus № 5137 proceed to the town of Ceresole Reale. In the village you can rent a car and drive to the waterfall (about 6 km).
