Cascata delle Pisse, Alagna Valsesia Commune

Cascata delle Pisse is one of many waterfalls formed from streams of water that drain from nearby alpine peaks on the border with Switzerland. This combination attracts tourists all year round, because in winter the local mountain slopes become excellent ski trails. The Pisse waterfall is also one of the two most famous neighboring streams out of the whole range. And if the Cascata del Sesia attracts with its beauty, the Pisse is valued not only for it. It is much higher, at an altitude of 2,200 meters above sea level, it is divided into 3 branches. Central – the most full of them has a fall height of 180 meters. Besides skiers, mountaineers come here in winter. They are attracted by the ascent along the frozen bed, which is considered quite difficult. Many hiking trails also begin in the nearby commune, during which you can enjoy the stunning beauty of the Alps.
How to get there
The Pisse waterfall is located 7 kilometers north of the town of Alagna Valsesia, in the province of Vercelli, and 150 kilometers north of Turin. You should leave from the station Porta Nuova in Turin, train RV goes to the city of Vercelli. There you need to make a transfer to the bus № 50, going to Alagna Valsesia.
