Fish Park Paradise, Zelo Buon Persico
Fish Park Paradise in Zelo Buon Persico invites visitors to dive into the fascinating world of fish. Here you can find around 20 fish species. Thanks to underwater observatories you can watch local creatures up close without causing disturbance in their lives. The park consists of many ponds fringed with reeds and water lilies. It takes up 13 hectares of the land and is surrounded by forest which contains more than 6000 plants. Visitors can enjoy tour guides as well as marked tracks for usual walks.
The history of the park
Fish Park Paradise welcomes visitors since 1989. It was meant to be a fish farm, however, throughout years the park became more interesting thanks to its variety of flora and fauna.
Park’s structure
The park is divided into several zones:
- Slow flow zone. Here among others, you can encounter carp, koi, crucian carp, pike, eel, chub.
- The second zone is inhabited by big fish, such as catfish and salmon.
- Fast flow zone has various kinds of trouts and graylings.
Fish Park Paradise provides an opportunity not only to observe fish life cycle but also to touch these creatures.
Along with the underwater inhabitants, you can find deer, pheasants, turtles, storks here.
The park also owns a playground, picnic area, bar and a gift shop.
How to get
The park is located 25 km from Milan and 10 km from Lodi. You can get there by tour bus. If you are traveling from Milan by car, get on highway Statale Paullese (SP415). Take turn on the Zelo Buon Persico crossroad and follow road signposts on Mulazzano and Villa Pompeiana.
Opening hours: the park welcomes visitors from March till September. It is open on weekdays from 9:00 till 17:30, on Saturdays and holidays from 9:00 till 19:00.
The admission fee amounts to 10 Euro for adults; there are also discounts for children. The information is relevant for 2018.
