The Art Museum in the province of Nuoro is the only one modern art gallery in Sardinia. The place is situated in the heart of the island. The museum includes a permanent exhibition with many samples of regional art, from the end of the 19th century to the present. The walls of the cultural institution are decorated with about 200 paintings.
Exhibits of the museum
The museum is located in a bright four-story building, the halls of which are ideal for holding contemporary art exhibitions. In addition to permanent exhibitions, here you can see the collections of:
- modern photographers;
- European sculptors;
- painters and graphic artists.
Also in the museum there is an opportunity to take part in educational programs. At the institution there are workshops where you can learn the main signs and symbols of modern art and show your creativity.
Special educational programs for children are provided in the museum. Observation of the exposition can be combined with practical and educational lessons in drawing and graphics workshops.
How to get there
In order to get to the museum you can take bus lines 1S, 1FS, stop Corso Garibaldi and 1D line, 1FD stop Via Tola.
Opening hours: The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 19:00.
