Luciano Pavarotti Museum is a villa on the outskirts of Modena, where the famous singer spent his last years. House-museum

The villa was bought by Luciano Pavarotti, who was from Modena, back in the 1980s. Construction was conducted for a long time and scrupulously, according to the drawings of the singer, the architects and engineers embodied all the ideas of the celebrity. The singer, who was a passionate lover of horses, also built stables here and opened a riding school. For 11 years, since 1991, prestigious CSIO competitions in equestrian competition have been held on its territory. Maestro lived here from 2004 until his death in 2007. After that, the villa was carefully and neatly turned into a museum that opened in 2015.

The villa has 12 rooms, which fully reflect in detail the personality of the master. They cover memories of the last days of life spent in the company of his family, friends and students. Here is the entire forty-year career of the singer. Thnaks to the preserved original interior and many personal things you can learn about the favorite activities and habits of the maestro. The museum exhibits his costumes, clothes, memorabilia, photographs and videos, as well as countless awards. Among the latest awards are Grammy, Emmy. A part of the singer's personal correspondence, and letters of admirers such as Frank Sinatra, Bono and Princess Diana are also here.

The visit begins with the reception of visitors by the staff of the Foundation Luciano Pavarotti. The tour continues through the rooms of the villa with the help of an audio guide.

How to get there

The museum is located on the southern outskirts of Modena, 8.5 km from the city center, on Stradello Nava, 6. A bus stop is a 15-minute walk from Santa Maria Mugnano. It can be reached by routes 740, 820. By car from Modena, it is necessary to travel along the Via Statale 12, and after crossing the A1 motorway, turn onto Stradello Nava. It will be very convenient to rent a bicycle in the city center, on Piazza Matteotti, only 5 euro per day.

Admission: the price of a full ticket is 8 euros, with a discount – 6 euros. The discount is provided for pensioners over 65 and young people (12-18). For children under 12 – admission is free.
