Aeolian Islands, Sicily

Aeolian Islands is a group of islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea. The name of these islands have received from the mythical characters - Lipari and Aeolus. This area is popular among tourists from all over the world as well. The warm Mediterranean climate allows the rest here throughout the year.  

The largest population center is the city of the Aeolian Islands Lipari, built in the east of the island of the same name. On its territory there are many modern hotels, shops and souvenir shops. This city is one of the oldest in the world, there is a large number of monuments of history and architecture, as well as museums.
