Piazza delle Erbe

Piazza delle Erbe - the area in the Italian city of Verona, surrounded by buildings of different Epoch. Among them gothic   House merchants, baroque building Palazzo Maffei, strict Gardello Tower decorated with mythological scenes House Mazzanti and Lamberti Tower, better known as the "bell tower." Opposite is the Palazzo Maffei marble column with winged lion - symbol of Venice. And in the center of the square is a fountain of Madonna Verona. 

Earlier in place Piazza delle Erbe was the Roman Forum, but today there is a market every day.
